Hallie, like any young child I imagine, does NOT like her teeth brushed, and the drama in performing the task is often times exhausting. I can't wait for the day when I can just REASON with her (Jordan already tries--I think he does it in an attempt to make himself feel better). I know, it might be when she is 20, but someday. So the other day I had this ingenious idea that I should have her brush her baby's "teeth" while I brushed hers. And she went for it...for that ONE time anyway. She brushed that poor baby's face for about 10 minutes, while I gave her teeth the best brush job they have ever had...and she didn't mind a bit. She was so funny, check out the pure concentration on her face.
The next picture I probably shouldn't post because looking at it, one might think no one loves this poor girl and the house is a disaster, but I feel it captures the essence of childhood...not a care in the world!
Yes, we let her play with chemicals, but only under direct supervision.
One of Hallie's most recent favorite activities is singing "Once There Was A Snowman." I sing, she does the actions. And we do it over, and over, and over. And it never gets old. I love that she loves it. She lets me know she would like to sing by putting her hands up over her head like so...
Hallie continues to keep us busy and make us laugh every day! We are so lucky to have her!

Those are AWESOME pictures! I absolutely love the one of her brushing her babies teeth. I'm so glad that you're putting the sponge curler in her hair. If we had to have them, so should they. I was so excited to see an update! So Fun! Love you
Those pictures are so cute! It's funny, Brynlee hated brushing her teeth too! The brushing the baby's teeth idea is great! I'm gonna have to try that one!
I absolutely loved your update. I love that she even has her tongue out in pure concentration while brushing her baby's teeth. Nyah and I often fight the same battle over brushing her teeth. Silly girls. I love the picture of her with her sunglasses ready to sing "Once there was a snowman". It's one of Nyah's favorites as well and I must admit, she is a great "melter". I'm so excited for them to be able to do it together in about 3 weeks!
She seems like such a little character. I love it! She is such a cutie.
Once there was a snowman is a classic! Gracie has moved on to head shoulders knees and toes! She says I do it really faster mom...now really slower! Such a fun age! Hallie is so cute! I love the sponge curlers! Life savers! :)
Could she be any cuter?!?! I don't think so!
I love seeing pictures of your little Hallie! It is great to see that many of our fights are universal!
Oh, I'm sure reasoning will happen at SOME point before she's 20 :) Hang in there... SO CUTE pics! I love kids, and this age. Ivory loves the snowman song too. She loves all the primary songs that have actions :) And it's so cute to see little kids do them :)
What a little cutie! I love her brushing the babys teeth. That is way 2 cute. kids are the best!
What a darling little girl! I just love the picture of her concentration :) she is so cute! I can't wait to find what our little girl will find pleasure with and what she won't like to do :)
So Lis,
Remember that one time when we went to Vegas together? Well we're taking another trip. How does Hawaii sound to you guys? We leave in a month. You should come and stay in our time share- we're taking our kids so bring Hallie. I agree it has been too long since we hung out. The last time I saw you I was busy getting my grocery cart stolen at Walmart. You should have done something about that since you used to work there! Anyway, just so you know, I was tortured with the sponge curlers too. I'm leaving this message on fb as well since I'm not sure if you check your blog any more than you update it:) Let us know if you would like to vacation with us. No one else wants to!
Sol was cracking up at these pics just now :) By the way, I heard the good news about the house! CONGRATS!
The ONLY blog I'd been into lately was Shanda's...and tonight had some time. GLAD I DID, as REALLY ENJOYED the update here about you three!!! Hallie is SO CUTE, children really put the JOY into life! VERY EXCITED to hear you'll soon be living in YOUR first home - ANXIOUS to see it - hopefully this weekend. I told your Mom that I never even have seen the Condo (me in ID on weekends, when you are working). I remember when you were staying here, while working at Primary Children's, & you talked about looking forward to owning your own home w/yard, etc. The HARD WORK is paying off!
Who does your pictures? I love them. I'm sure it helps that Hallie is such a doll.
